YOU ARE NOT ALONE…

By

…..As I sat in the emergency room at the hospital the other day, it gave me ample opportunity and time to observe what was going on, to reflect and to ponder about life, and most importantly to consider humans and our behaviours.  I observed one patient who had apparently drank a bottle of whisky the night before and had, not surprisingly been somewhat ill.  Another patient, a tradesman, was nursing a cut head, having had an accident on the worksite.  A teenager boy had also hit head and at least two elderly people had fallen over.   I observed Doctors and Nurses going around the rounds, doing their jobs, connecting with patients and then letting them rest, to ponder and to perhaps agonise alone, as to what their diagnosis was, and what would happen next.  To be discharged or perhaps, sent to Nambour hospital?   I realised it is at times like this how alone people can feel, and how our caring Doctors and Nurses need to be applauded for their work, as well as the support of friends, family, carers and neighbours.  I know though, that we are never really alone.   Incredible research and experiments are going on in the field of Quantum Physics and Neuro Science that has proven we are all connected to everything there is. We are all part of the bigger picture, a hologram of the Universe.  (Read “The Divine Matrix” Gregg Braden.) So I pondered the question as to why do so many people abuse their bodies with alcohol, drugs or food?   And why are there so many unhappy people here in Australia, in the so called lucky country?  Why do so many people put up with toxic relationships (self and others) whilst others exist in a cup half filled, or half empty depending on your view point.  We know many people look outside themselves for things to make them feel better, to feel less alone and to find happiness, whether in drink, drugs, food or material possessions, when we truly do have everything we need inside of us.  When we refer to ancient philosophies we know that they know this to be true.  One of the seven principles of Huna Philosophy is MANA, all power comes from within.  Whether or not you know or believe this, I penned together 7 simple easy doable steps for creating internal happiness, and to create a sense of connection with self, and to radiate a bit out to others.  We all have our own internal “pharmacy” that can produce us our own happiness on tap, so try doing some of the following and see how your life changes.

1.      Do a random act of kindness daily.  This could be anything from topping up someone’s parking meter, letting a driver merge into your lane, checking on a neighbour or inviting a friend or family member over for dinner.

2.    Be grateful for the simple things in life.  Make this a daily practice.  When you wake up consider three things in your life you are grateful for.  Do this at night before you sleep.  This way you are feeding your unconscious, with good “medicine” for the night.  Remember your unconscious is awake 24/7.  The language of the universe is feelings and emotions and you get back what you reflect out.

3.   Make time for a bit of fun every day.  Studies have proven that when we have fun we create chemicals in our body that make us feel good.   They also help to counteract any other negative feelings.

4.      Visualise and focus on how you want your life to be.  The field of Neuro Science has proven that our brains have a plasticity and if we make visualisation a habit we can create lasting change.  If you add in the feeling of being there in the moment of the “Wish fulfilled” as Neville writes, this adds in a bit more magic to the process.  Remember Einstein said “What we can imagine we can create.”

5.      Commit to changing your self talk. Stop right now if you hear yourself beating yourself up for not being good enough, judging or comparing yourself to others. Focus on what you want not what you don’t want, because what you focus on expands. Observe your thoughts because they have been the creator of your life right now.  You are either feeding your body with poison or fuelling it with positive vitamins.  Your unconscious mind is always eavesdropping on your thoughts, and like a good servant will obey the commands it picks up on.

6.      Eat well, exercise regularly and keep learning.  Otherwise you will become stale and stagnate. Keep pushing yourself out of your comfort zone.  It has been said it is the most dangerous place to live!

7.      Commit to being an excellent human being each and every day.  Make it your mission to ask yourself  “ How can I be even better today than I was yesterday?” Be a shining star, a leader, and an inspiration to others.  It’s only by changing ourselves that we can impact others in a positive way.

Did you know the minimum number of people required to instigate a change in consciousness is the square root of one percent of a population?  That isn’t really many people.   So, be the change and see how your life and others are impacted in a positive way.  Spread your own ray of sunlight out into the world!  You never know when it may radiate onto someone else and help them realise that they are not alone!
