7 SECRETS for a SUCCESSFUL 2011

If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you have always got!

7 easy steps to start the year on the right foot!

BE CLEAR

Be clear and precise about what you want to accomplish this year.   Write down what you want. Clarity of thought carries great weight on the road to success.  DID YOU write your goals down yet?  If not, as Nike says “JUST DO IT!”  (ps NOW)

START DOING LESS!

Were you BUSY with your business, work and or personal life in 2010?  Did you get the results you wanted?  If not, consider turning what you did upside down so to speak!  Change something. Consider the 80:20 principle and start focusing on the 20%.  PRIORITISE and FOCUS only on your KEY TASKS that generates the majority of value you add to your business (or life).    START DOING less and you will find you can achieve more.   If you didn’t get the results you wanted last year, why not give this one a shot?  It may seem strange, but it has worked for many people

ASK BETTER QUESTIONS

Look at where you are in your life and the results you got for 2010.  Did you really achieve all you wanted?  So, consider this for 2011.  We get what we focus on.   So, perhaps you weren’t asking yourself great questions, or others?   Start self programming yourself positive and energy expansive questions such as HOW CAN I?     The great thing about this is that as humans, we are inherently lazy, and this works because your unconscious mind does the magic for you and seeks to help you out!   SO if you want even more success for 2011 think about the questions you are asking yourself and others.

CREATE MORE HAPPINESS

I think ultimately we all want to be happy!   When we are happy we create chemicals in our body that help us to feel good!   Being happy is also good for our brain (Dr Daniel Amen).   A scientific study showed that when people wrote down five things they were grateful for EVERYDAY and considered or thought about these throughout the day their overall level of happiness increased in just 3 weeks.  So, wake up in the morning and get into the habit of saying to yourself 3 -5 things that you are grateful for you in your life.  Better still, write them down!

STOP NEGATIVE THINKING

It disrupts healthy brain function (Daniel Amen).  Whilst you think about that one, also STOP eating lousy food.  This also affects your brain health, and may prevent you from achieving your losing weight.

SLEEP

Do you get enough sleep or are you one of the many people who are sleep deprived?   Sleep affects the brain, how we function and also has a profound affect on our health and wellbeing.  Hypnosis and self hypnosis are both very powerful tools to help us gain mastery over our sleep.  (..I can help you with this!)

MUSIC

Did you know that listening to any enjoyable music has positive effects on your brain and your mood and that listening to classical music improves cognitive ability!   Next time you are stuck in traffic, or feeling frustrated, put on some of your favourite music and see how your body responds!
